Do you still Dream

"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat."

-T. Roosevelt

In the middle of a storm, a pilgrim reaches an inn and the owner asks where he is going.

“I’m going to the mountains,” he answers.

“Forget it,” says the innkeeper, “it’s a risky climb, and the weather is awful.”

“But I’m going up,” answers the pilgrim.”It is my dream”.

“If my heart got there first, it will be easy to follow it with my body.”

Living

I would rather be ashes than dust!

I would rather that my spark should burn out

in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.

I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom

of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.

The function of man is to live, not to exist.

I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.

I shall use my time.

QOTD

Having personally experienced the former on a couple of occasions, and making sure that I exhibit the latter I felt it very important to post this. When I return to racing I hope to find someone willing to work with me rather than berate me into becoming a better athlete.

"Bad coaches depend on manipulation, domination & control. Good coaches rely on communication, motivation & allow room for athlete to grow."

-Vern Gambetta
